When i apply to boarding school i would need financial aid. It would either have to be a full scholarship or cover most of the tuition. If i were to get a full scholarship, you have to keep your grades up and what else to keep it? if that's how it works? how does it work? =) how would i get it?

and is your acceptance jeopardized by the need for financial aid? all info about FA is great!

It’s good to keep your grades up, but they can’t take away need based FA for bad grades. It doesn’t “jeopardize” it, but with a lot of the schools taking away the need blind policy it won’t help per say. But don’t worry about that.

well i always keep up my grades but you know just in case i slipped a little. whats the need blind policy? i remember reading about it but i cant remember exactly what it is

The need-blind policy means that during the admission process, the school will ignore all FA requests until after the students have been accepted. This just means that they won’t care how much FA you need/that you need FA. However, your acceptance MAY be jeopardized by requesting FA in this economy and with what mpicz said about schools withdrawing need-blind, but I don’t have any hard facts to back that up with.

Some schools, after offering you FA, will keep covering your tuition until you graduate. Exeter’s one of them. Many schools also don’t offer merit scholarships, but you could try applying for the ones that do offer them (:

thats really helful. thanks tuesdays =)

does being international affect FA? i’m canadian

I think canadians have priority in FA over other international students.
