I finally submitted my application, and I had a question about financial aid and scholarships. When you send in your app, you automatically get considered for scholarships, right? And you just submit the FAFSA to be eligible for aid? How do you find out if you receive aid?

Also, what's the spartan advantage program?

Yes, you are automatically considered, same for FASA.

Spartan Advantage Program gives assistance to those who qualify for Pell Grant, need base aid, efc 0 etc… Likely will pay a large amount of your education, leaving you with loans around 2-5k a year… I guess it varies, but my sibling attends MSU and is apart of SAP.

My loans are under 1k a year on Spartan Advantage. I wouldn’t have had to take any if my car didn’t die the week before school started. You generally need to be under poverty (or very close to it) to qualify for it.

Send your FAFSA in ASAP after Jan 1st. Yes, you automatically get considered for scholarships once you send in your app.
