financial aid??

Does anyone know when financial aid offers come out for accepted students?? Also, does anyone know anything about the reputation of Wash U's financial aid, i.e. do they tend to give out a lot of money, a little, etc. ??

From the acceptance message online:

“If you are an applicant for financial assistance, you will receive information from Student Financial Services in a few days.”

I’ve heard that Wash U’s financial aid is good. At least that’s what I’m hoping because that’s the only thing keeping me from enrolling at the moment…

Ha yep same here…I’m basically waiting to compare financial aid offers. So maybe it will come around Saturday?

hopefully…

yeah i’m an int’l student and have been waiting for FA decision, too. Hope Wash.U can meet my need :)

@musicalscientist,

“that’s the only thing keeping me from enrolling”

Me too. I sure hope they make a “reasonable” award offer, … the “awards” I’ve received so far have been TERRIBLE, (William & Mary “awarded” me two loans <sigh>) … I could STILL end up going to STATE! … YUK … my (recurring) nightmare … oh well, on the bright side, all this stress has helped increase my piano time, … Beethoven and Chopin are GREAT ways to release stress :)</sigh>

^hahahah

We’re in the same position-- I definitely don’t want to end up in the UC system given the budget cuts…

Also, piano is extremely helpful. What pieces are you working on? Chopin’s the best.

Have all of you received paper copies of your acceptance?
I haven’t…

Oh, and regarding financial aid…
They will probably be sending info the next week. They cannot send awards because they have not asked for Tax Returns yet. (They only ask for them after accepting students).

not yet, i’m hoping it comes today.

I didn’t know wash u requires tax returns. I thought that they just use the CSS or the FFP-EZ along with the fafsa.
