so i'm..
Junior, in State of Kansas; Got an ACT of 27 (i immigrated 3 yrs ago), and now i'm hoping that I can get a full ride somewhere.. the current ACT says I can only get 60% need-based in Washington Univ. in St. Louis... ******....

so how would I be able to get a full ride? any suggestions..? thanks a lot ppl!

First of all, a “free ride” is very unlikely with your stats. You’ll need much higher stats and this is why…

For schools like WashU, you’d need higher stats to get accepted and your aid would be based on determined need. They have some merit, but those are given to those with stellar stats.

To get a “free ride” from top schools that meet need, you need top scores to get accepted.

Do you know what your EFC is? If not, you need to find out.

FA Calc
[FinAid | Calculators | Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and Financial Aid](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Expected Family Contribution (EFC) Calculator - Finaid)
Do both the federal method and institutional. Many privates use the both methods.

If you’re looking for big merit scholarships, then you’ll need higher stats, too.

What schools are you considering (keep in mind your stats)?

BTW…take the SAT, too. With a 27 ACT, you might do better on the SAT.
