Financial Aid

Okay so I found out my Financial Aid Package today from Drexel. Is that the total that I get for the full year or do they by term?

And also, how do I appeal my finacial aid package?

It’s for the full year.

And I just finished going through the appeal process myself, so here ya go (e-mail from the Admissions Team):
If you have received your financial aid award summary and are still in need of additional funding, your next step would be an appeal.

To request a review for additional funding, compose a letter to the Appeal Chair, Drexel University, Enrollment Management Office, Main Building, and 3141 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Send the letter via fax: the number is 215.895.6679.

In the letter be certain to state your financial concerns. If you have received any scholarships or awards from other universities or colleges, make copies of those and attach them to your appeal. Appeals are read in a timely fashion beginning in early April, and the decisions are final. If you are awarded any additional funding, a new financial aid package will be provided to you.

Good luck!

I attempted to appeal my financial aid last year. I did not receive an extra cent even though my EFC was $0… In fact, I am paying about 20k per year. Drexel is a decent school, but their financial aid packages reveal how stingy they truly are.

I agree! I got hardly any aid, it was still MORE than what my parents’ earn a YEAR.
I appealed and they told me right out NO.

On the other hand, I applied my financial aid decision and got another $2,000 per year. So you really never know…food luck with your appeal!

I got some stanfford loans but that’s it :(
