So, I've wanted to go to Duke for years, and I think I have what it takes to get accepted (hopefully). However, my stats are nowhere up there to qualify for AB or Roberson (and I'm not being modest like those crazy CCers with ridiculous stats and think they have to go to community college). My family is middle-middle class, about 90,000 gross income per year, and I know FAFSA takes more things into consideration... but a rough estimate would be fantastic to give me an idea on how much aid I can expect. I have two younger siblings, from south Mississippi, and no investments or crazy assets.

And how is Duke financial aid? easy to work with? Generous? How much can I expect reasonably?

My parents make 80-90k. I have two younger siblings as well. It would cost me (w/o including scholarship or miscellaneous expenses) about 22k a year (including work-study and loans).

But that’s just an estimate. It would be better for you to use an online calculator, but the thing is, I’m paying about 4-5k more than what FAFSA calculated.

Iʻm barely at the 80-100K income bracket, but the school took a lot of other stuff in to consideration. I received roughly $55,490 in financial aide, and I only took out a $500 loan.
