Anybody else? Not sure how much to share but we were pleasantly surprised!

is this for early action?

Oh yeah; It is...

We just found out the actual amount of my son's merit scholarship via an emailfrom the school. (We don't qualify for need-based aid.) He was admitted EA too.

Congrats to shrinkD :-) I hope all further offers are attractive and pleasantly surprising.

hope worried son was offered what he needed as well

i was offered no merit money and i am very frustrated. I got 10k from University of Denver, a very similar school. I've already began the process of talking to my admissions counselor. :( not good for my want to go to santa clara.

My D just received her RD acceptance from Santa Clara - stats below. No merit award information yet (she won't qualify for financial aid). Should she assume that she's not getting any scholarships? or does this information come separately?

My son was accepted EA, but he learned about his merit scholarship in a separate letter that arrived a week or two after the acceptance letter. So don't give up hope. My son's statistics were similar to your daughter's and he received the Dean's Scholarship ($9500 per year).

My D learned "admitted with distinction", and maybe mention of Dean's scholarship with the initial letter, but no actual figure for what seemed like several weeks, maybe a month or more later. She applied EA. Somewhere I read merit money is given to those admitted with distinction but i don't know if it was from a reputable source.

Thanks - that's helpful. She realy likes the school, but it's hard to justify (compared to some of the UCs) without some support.
