Hi,

I heard of a major called Financial Engineering or Computational Finance and was wondering what does FE/CF actually do? How is it different from a normal Finance Major? Is there good job opportunities for a person holding a BFE? Need some guidance~ :)

THANKS!

Google it you lazy pos.

I did…but I was hoping to get a students point of view…someone who is familiar or who has studied it to giv me some advice~Lol

If you indeed did, your effort was pathetic.
This was the first link I found.
[OR: Financial Engineering](http://www.ieor.columbia.edu/pages/undergraduate/financial_eng/index.html)

Read through it. It answers all of your questions, except possibly the last. This one depends entirely on the school you go to. The only people who will be able to answer it are those who go to said school. If it is Columbia or Princeton, the answer is most certainly yes. If you want to know about specific other schools, post it in that school’s section.
You appear to be slightly ■■■■■■■■ though, so financial engineering is perhaps not the best area for you.
