Financial Guarantee Form

Is it required for the application to be review or can it be send after? Due date 01/15/2010 ?

Hi JND, get that FGF in as soon as possible. I’m not certain, but your file might not become “ready to read” without that form submitted.

I have a son who applied regular decision. I didn’t think anything was due until March 1st. Am I mistaken?
Thanks

The FGF is a form that international students have to complete, so no worries, Buffalo!

Trying to keep on top of deadlines. Have a great day.

The Commonapp Supplement form has a mistake on the in-state part. Even when the student is US citizen, if the parent is not a US citizen, it asks parent to submit the FGF form. But FGF form is needed only for international students looking for J-1 or F-1 visa - not for US citizens. I informed UVA International Students department of this and they said that they will try to fix it. The .pdf form at UVA site does not ask for it.

Pages 3 and 4 of the Supplement are from the Office of Virginia Status, not International Studies. I’ll let the legal folks know about the error.

Thanks Dean J. Actually I talked to Virginia Status first and they suggested I talk to International Studies also as the financial form belongs to them. regards,

The FGF is ISO’s form, but if there’s a link on page 3 or 4 of the Supplement, it’s Virginia Status’ edit to make.

No worries. We’ll make sure this gets worked out. :)

Since I have a H4 visa and don’t need a H1/J1, I don’t need to worry about it right?
