I'm a freshman in community college and am seeking ways to get scholarship money to help defray the cost of future expenses being spent on future education (university and graduate school). Right now, i have a scholarship that is paying for my whole stay at community college; but, i know that when i transfer, my financial situation will be a bigger issue than it is presently. I didn't do too well in high school, so i couldn't acquire any awards or scholarships. I was wondering if the oppurtunities to get scholarships out of high school is equally good in probability while trying to attain them in high school.

Thats one downside of being a transferee, not a lot scholarship opportunities. Check to see where your planning to transfer to offers any transfer scholarships. Start part-time working, work at your CC, federal work study program when at uni, etc... Also check to see if your state gives out aid.
