What is the major like for pre-Commerce students? Do students generally take these classes in conjunction with financial economics classes? What do they generally do after getting into McIntire? Finally, what is the ICE comprised of? Sorry for the rapid fire questions, but I'd appreciate answers to any of them.

Pre-Comm isn’t an official major – you’re undeclared until accepted into the Comm School. There are a set of specific classes (listed on McIntire’s web site) that you have to take as prerequisites. Alongside those, you fulfill most of your area requirements. Most students have a backup plan for if they’re not accepted, so you would also take classes in that area (which might be financial math). Once you get into McInitire, those classes won’t count towards that major, but they’re still, of course, helpful, and they count as electives toward graduation.

ICE is a set of three classes taken each semester, but rather than taking all three at the same time, you take them in sets. You register for a block of classes during your third year, and you spend all that time (I think 6-10 hours a week, not sure) taking one class at a time, each class lasting about 4 weeks. Hope this helps!
