I have been looking over different business majors and I came across financial mathematics, which sounds very interesting. However, I am not sure what type of career this major would lead to. Is there anyone who's done this as a major or has any ideas?

investment banking

investment banking wouldn't necessarily be a major career focus for financial mathematics.

derivatives, ForEx, and other technical aspects of the usually larger more prestigious firms.

hedge funds maybe
