Being an international student I have to show the ability to pay for my tuition to receive my I20 form for my student visa. Only problem is banks on this part of the world dont issue bank letters. Its a bank policy, maybe because it was abused in the past. However we do have bank statements. Anyways, so I call up International Student Services and explain this to the lady on the phone and she says bank statements from the last 3 consecutive months will suffice. She sounded kinda unsure, so I'm a bit uncertain. Basically should I just go by what she said or try calling again and speak to a different person? Any thoughts?

Thanks heaps

Hi, I’m pretty sure the bank statement will be fine, but i’ll check with my mom and let you know soon. My mom did it for my brother so i’m sure she’ll know.

Hey thanks a lot. I really appreciate it. Looking forward to your reply.

Hi, my mom said that u’ll probably have to fill another form (Certificate of Financial Responsibility), along with the bank statements. The bank statements will suffice though, and considering that’s what the lady told u when u rang them up, i guess it’ll be enough.
Where are you from btw? I’m from the UAE and will be going to tamu for the ECE program.

Yeah I got the part about the Certificate of Financial Responsibility. Thanks again. Really appreciate it.
