financial Statements

What did you guys use as supplementary information. Please Respond I have no idea what to do. Some colleges require that we have atleast 30000 dollars in the bank. I dont have that much in the bank, but my dad plans to pay for it using his salary. How do i convey this to the office of admissions

university of madison requires 68000 dollars in the bank.. i dont know how im going to show that

hey guys,
so what happens if you have 3,4,5 times the money that the school requires?
are you GUARANTEED admission?

yeah, pretty much, you have to show a bank balance that covers your expenses and tuition for the first year of University.

how do you show them the bank statements if theyre not in English???

Most of them require the sum to be in USD so you probably need to attach a translation with the money you have converted to $.

do they need a sign by the bank or something to know that the translation is legit? or will they just take my word??

Radhika - UM needs $68k in the bank???!!! They crazy or what. If some1 has $68k sittin in the bank (earning tiny interest) they shouldn't be granted admission coz it is a bad business decision.
I think as long as you show that you have capabilities to pay the tuition (through tax returns, bank statemnts, assets, etc.) u'll be fine.
for my finl statement - i had my acct. list our assets (some of which are sitting at the bottom of the indian ocean!!!) and tht worked well

addies-- thanks for the advice
