Financing Medical School

<p>Misunderstanding, I was talking about being accepted into a specialty after practicing primary care. I do not know how competitive the loan forgiveness programs are. It is a lot of money, so they may not have as many positions as applicants, I don’t know.</p>

<p>I believe you are correct that they target people coming right out of training. It would be very difficult to get people who are already settled and established in practice.</p>

<p>^Thanks, this is all very new to me. Programs like loan forgiveness always sound great initially, but when you get into the nuts and bolts, they’re often not as viable an option as you first thought.</p>

<p>Other states have load repayment programs. For instance in California there are programs for medical school and other health professions:</p>
