i have gotten into both....i am instate michigan

i would like to go to texas but it is 20k a year for tuition and i would have to personally pay (not my parents) 10k a year. do you guys know of financing options, i applied for scholarships but the most i might get is 10k

or shoudl i just go to michigan

im going into engineering

My personal view is that an instate Michigan engineering education is a bargain--especially when the alternative if you, personally, assuming a lot of debt (or spending a lot of savings) to go elsewhere. Is there a reason that Texas is so appealing to you?

I'd say Go to Michigan. - It's a more prestigious school - has a stronger national reputation. UT is 95% texan at the undergrad level. you will be in for the culture shock of your life if you come here..People from all over the US (and the world) go to U Michigan, so you will meet a more diverse group of kids there. good luck to you.

Go for Michigan...better school, cooler campus and cheaper.

Definitely Michigan: in-state, top-notch engineering, better school overall

Michigan is really the better school of the two.
