VERY gay friendly (I'm gay) campus. I don't mind a low population of gays, I just don't want rampant homophobia.

Liberal student body. I have no preference on school size.

American University i believe is very friendly to the gay population, and it is a great school with a beautiful campus. Wesleyan is also a great school like cosmology stated above me.

What about a smaller school in the midwest? Check out Beloit, Carleton, Oberlin, Grinnell, or Kenyon. Also check out Pitzer College in California. In Washington State, there's Evergreen State and Whitman. Colorado College could be another good option. On the East Coast, I'd look at Hampshire, Bard, and Bennington. All of these colleges are socially liberal, and so I think you'd have no problem with homophobia. Two things to note--some of these schools are very "hippy" and they're all fairly small.

Look at Denison, Reed, Lawrence, St. Olaf, Kalamazoo, and Wooster. If you do really well on your SATs, take a look at Washington University in St. Louis. Top school, excellent bio and pre-med programs, liberal, midwestern, and full of lots of smart kids who really like learning, good social scene. Oh, and Tennessee Williams is a graduate.

UIUC is VERY liberal...We are the only blue county in a sea of red. Our county/town (where I live) voted 70% for Obama in the primaries. Great starter school, and people usually transfer to more prestigious school later on..

DUDE BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY!!! BYU!!! very gay friendly LOL!!! obviously a joke. you have pretty good stats, i think your good for many midwest schools, good luck man!
