Find me a school that...

A. Has a population greater than 5000 undergraduates
B. Is an Engineering School (more importantly has chemical engineering)
C. Supports Liberal Views
D. Is located on the east cost
E. Isn't super religious
F. Is urban (Or has greater than 10k undergraduates and is rural)

Thank you :)

You should probably be more specific as to what sort of school you think you are capable of getting into...your description can fit both MIT and Drexel University....

Cornell would be a good bet

Carnegie Mellon?

nyu, brown, I second cmu,

if you want to branch out to the west Berkeley is a great choice

this is hard to do w/out knowing stats or anything about what level of selectivity is right for you

Though anyone from further east in PA will tell you CMU is midwestern (they say pop and not soda!), I'm sure you could consider Pittsburgh as east coast.

UIUC also. LOTS of students

Georgia Tech?

I'm in eastern PA, and I see CMU as northeastern shrugs

I'm from New York btw. I hated Drexel when I visited it.
Though I do have Cmu on my list as well as cornell as high match/medium reach :)

Anyone else any ideas, I guess I'm willing to go as far west as needed, just no too much south :3

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
If you need status i have a status profile, but sats and satIIs are def a weakpoint for me.

I agree with everyone else and say Carnegie Mellon. i think its urban unlike cornell but has also has a nice college campus. its also just as good if not better at engineering than cornell.

also how about upenn?

I'm in eastern PA and I see CMU as midwestern. Eastern PA is the only real east coast part ;)

But yes the university of pennsylvania would fit the bill as well

upenna and cornell are unrealistic reaches for me =x
i'm looking for more like matches any ideas :3

Just about every state university will have an engineering school, have 10,000 + students (or be in an urban area), be within your match/reach range (if CMU is) and will be naturally "collegiately" liberal and will not be terribly religious. But if you're just looking for private Us add Case Western to your list.

i refuse to apply to my sunys -.-
thanks anyway :)

Columbia seems to fit all those prerequisites.

boston university...and I definitely second case western. they both give a significant amount of merit money depending on your stats

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
