Gwen was told Dodge students would be concentrated in north morlan and glass.

Iād love to try to get together on purpose with other parents. I need to have a look at the family orientation schedule and see when there might be a gap in the organized activities. Anyone have any notions? I assume weāll be busy moving the kids in that first day, but maybe after that? I plan to fly back home on Thursday.

Iād love to meet you and your D, too!
Itās funny, I never was able to get my S interested in joining CC, but the site has been really helpful to me. However, S has posted a lot on the Facebook pages for incoming Chapman students, and has āmetā a lot of other Dodge kids that way in particular. With the photos there, he says by move-in day he thinks he is going to recognize a lot of the other students when he sees them on campus.

Shakespearefan, one of my roommates is a film major and we managed to dodge (no pun intended) the āfilm ghettoā as well and end up in Glass. Of course, if Gwen already had two roommates, it would have been an impossibility to board her in NoMo anyways, as those rooms are all doubles.

S is in NoMo and is not a dodge student. Maybe they put the honors kids there too?

^ Could beā¦

Honors Son is happy to be in North Morlan and the Film Ghetto.
The NoMo rooms seem comparatively spaciousāall doubles (no triples). He appreciated the direct outdoor access, openness, and old-style funky block architecture. And given that DS liked the building best, anyway, saving the extra money is sweet. NoMo costs significantly less.

Other people coming from far away, particularly those flying:

We went into our local BB & Beyond store today, registered and D picked out all her stuff for the dorm. When we get to CA, weāll pick it all up at the local store. Easy as pie! They even have a list from each college which they print out for you right in the store. The list includes what to bring (towels, pillow, sheets, etc.) and what students may not bring (anything with an open flame, so weāre having to ditch the blow torch, darn.)
