Finding a career after college in another state?

I'm a junior getting a BBA in Finance. I'm planning on graduating in May of 2012 and not even a couple months after I would probably have to move 2 states away. I know schools usually have career centers and job fairs but most if not all of the jobs are in the same city/state. I know it will be harder to go my route but what would be a good way to prepare for something like this? The career I would be looking for would be any entry level position where I could use my degree. If you need any other information please let me know. Thanks

The best way is start building up your network. The first thing to do is to find out everything from your family. People that your parents and siblings know.

Secondly, do you have any internship? I mean to get a career in Finance, a good career usually comes directly from internship. My sister-in-law is now an accountant at where he interned for 3 years when he was a undergraduate student.

If you happen to live in areas other than like New York, Chicago, SF and such big cities, you probably have to move to another state like you said. This is difficult, and this is why the first thing you should do is find out the network that your parents have. I am saying that you should ask for a job from one of their friends, but put them on your potential list. Sometime you can even approach their friends and make connection with them.

Where do you live btw?
