So next month I will be graduating with my Bachelor of Science degree. I'm a biology major very interested in getting my foot in the door in my field. I haven't had an internship during school (couldn't afford a car and I'm all on my own pretty much). Every place I apply to for an internship they tell me they've gone with a candidate with elaborate experience. Isn't that the whole point of an internship? To get experience? I'm so frustrated, I feel like my degree is absolutely useless. Nevermind the fact that you need 3-5+ experience for entry-level jobs. ENTRY-LEVEL!! I'm so depressed about this. Is there really no future for me in this field? I feel like it's impossible and that my dreams are being crushed with my hard work gone to waste...

Have you used your schools career center? I’m sure they can help you locate some entry level positions, and help you tailor your resume to them, despite your lack of internships, they may help you see related experience in other activities you participated in.
