<p>So I just realized that I have to have a roommate picked by the 21st...but the problem is that I am female, but I have no really good female friends. I am the type of girl who likes hanging out with the guys, and I guess that resulted in me not forming any close relationships with any girls here at school. All of the girls I do know have already chosen their roommates.....and I am lost. I suppose there really is nothing I can do at this point, especially since the 21st is right around the corner...but I just needed to rant. Any advice? Oh, and singles aren't available for sophomores, so that's not an option :(</p>
<p>Any chance you could request to live with a transfer student or an international student? Your school’s office of student life may also have a list of other students in need of roommates. You still have two weeks, I’m sure you’ll figure out something. Last year, my chosen roommate backed out on me four days before room signups, and I ended up in a triple with some girls I knew from a student organization. All is not lost! :-)</p>

<p>el problema es que los estudiantes del segundo ano solamente pueden vivir con otros estudiantes de su ano… y no hay dormitorios para chicos y chicas</p>
<p>eso es problema. quizas debes tratar de tener amigos quien son chicas. No tendrias este problema.</p>

<p>you can probably sign up for a room by yourself, and get a random roommate. At least you can at my school. The random roommate could be a transfer, or international, or maybe another person who has no one to room with.</p>

<p>problem solved! i am going to be roommates with another latina who i know through a friend. it should work out well because we both love playing the same type of music, which is what i think kind of bothered my roommate this year. about the whole not having female friends thing, i talked to one of the RA’s and he told me that it didn’t surprise - he said that he can’t picture me being friends with many of the girls here at Duke. oh well, i’ll just stick with my buddies

<p>Ack…I have the same problem that you had. I thought we were allowed to have singles or get random picks as sophomores, and I didn’t say yes to someone that asked me because I wanted to meet more people next year (haven’t really met ANY people this year). Guess I’m going to have to go to the RLHS matching events.</p>
