Finding an on campus job without work study

Does anyone have any tips on how to find an on campus job without having work study? I tried the whole wait list thing to try and receive the left over work study but nothing seems to come of it. I tried looking at places off campus but a lot of them just do not work with my schedule. I check jobmate all of the time but nothing seems to come of those jobs either and it's kind of ridiculous. I just really need a job honestly so anything will work.

Have you checked with campus food service? Or book store since that’s technically Barnes and Noble? One of D’s friends found job as usher at Koger Center which I would think might work pretty well since mostly outside of school hours.

I did not think about those places! Thanks for the advice!

My DD got a job working for a professor in a lab. She looked at what the professors were working on, which is on the USC web site somewhere, found one she was interested in, and emailed the professor. It’s not many hours a week (I think 8) but it is a paying job.

It also led to a summer job doing field research.

Did you go to your career center? Did you look at the job postings at your commuter cafe?
