Outside of the Honors program, what would be good strategies at UGA for finding friends with whom you could have serious discussions?

My d is involved in mathcounts, Roosevelt Institute and not to introduce politics into the thread the young democrats. Lots of kids involved in these programs are students your son would enjoy meeting. I recall your son is a a math major- has he tried mathcounts? ( middle school tutoring program led by UGA students) He could also reach out to his Honors TA for some ideas.

Good ideas - someone else mentioned Roosevelt Institute as well - thanks.

Extemporaneous debates about non-technical topics is valuable intellectual experience for science and math types. This definitely enhances interview skills.

These guys helped DD nail her med school interview and get an early decision acceptance.
