Bump!!! That script is SO USEFUL. <3 Greasemonkey

Bring up thread ! ! ! ! !

Woooo! ! ! !

doing the bumping for mmelin

Hump is the new bump.

bumping up my own trick :P

ps. glad you all like my script

Bump again. Didn't know you were the one who wrote the script. Good stuff.

I used your script and I was able to get the ISBN #'s for my chem 14A and math 3A textbooks. But when I went to Amazon, etc. to search for them using the ISBN #'s, nothing came up. Is this a typical problem (because I know that all colleges try to "update" their textbooks but they usually end up pretty much the same as they were before)? I'm thinking about buying used books from cheaper websites, but I'm sort of scared if I'll end up buying the wrong one... Any advice?

Oh, one more thing. Is it recommended for students to start studying their textbooks before school starts? Once I get my books, I'm planning on trying to get a headstart on chem... mainly because I've been conditioned like most other pre-meds to fear chem and ochem unfortunately...

chem 14a.. the ISBN probably doesn't work b/c if you are taking lavelle, it is a custom UCLA edition that exists no where else. LOL sucks.

Not sure about 3a though.

Verify the book is right with the edition, publisher, author, publish date, title. blah blah. If all those match then it is almost impossible that it is a different book. Plus look at the cover.

Fear chem, love ochem.

And I suck as a premed.

If by 'premed' you mean 'lover' - I wholeheartedly agree. So does hater.

Is it ok if my Math 3a book is prepared for UC Davis? I accidentally got that one but it's still the same publisherm, author, and edition and everything.

Might be an issue if they cut out specific chapters that you'd need for this school egads go figs it out and ask the prof what they wanna OK

Currently, my DESMA and fiat lux textbooks haven't come out yet... and I'm kind of wondering if I'll even have books for those classes but anyway. Should I order the Chem 14A book right away from UCLA, or should I wait for my other books to come out? Thanks.

Fiat Lux courses probably won't have a textbook

When/how do we get course readers for our classes?

What does it mean when a book has 2 ISBNs? I put the ISBN# I got from the UCLA bookstore website on amazon and I got a book that has 2 ISBN's listed under it. So that means that if I order that book, it would be the book my class is using right? I hope amazon doesn't randomly choose between 2 different books to ship me lol.

To Salty: When they're available. Probs during Week 1.

To Coffee: Every book has 2 ISBNs - one with 10 digits and the other with 13.

Where on the UCLA bookstore website did you find the ISBN #'s for your textbooks? I thought they didn't give that information out...

The script.

Appropriate bump.

Hey Stingy, people would definitely use that. Do you have experience in coding websites? CSS/HTML and using a CMS such as Joomla? I'm looking for someone to help me with a project.
