Finding my ap score

So this year, I took an ap exam and I don’t know if I will get my ap score back in July because I had a name change before the exam, and so the name that I put in my answer sheet is different than what I put in college board website. This is my big concern right now because I don’t know what to do. At first, I emailed the college board, but they said that I have to wait until the scores come out. But I can’t be still about this. So, should I just call the college board, and tell them about this issue? Please help! Thank you!!!

Yes, call collegeboard. They know their policies better than any of us on CC do.

Isn’t the AP scores shown on the CB website? Can’t you just see them using your existing logon?

Can you receive your ap score in June?

AP scores aren’t released until July. You can find the exact date for your state on the college board website.

Say, you cancel an ap score, will the school know that you cancel an ap score?

No.

Yes. Although I don’t know if they will know that is was you that cancelled it.

As of now, the college board finish grading the tests already? What do they do at this point? Why does it take that long to grade if they were supposed to grade at early june for 2 weeks?

The scores will start to be released next week. I have no insight on the mechanics of the College Board, but my guess is that since a part of the exam is not computer scored, that all data is not magically routed into the database instantaneously. I am far from being an apologist for the CB, but the reality is that the have 5 million exams to grade in a relatively short period of time. I think that are allowed a few days to do their administrative checks and balances.

Some things, like this, you just need to file under “it is what it is.”

if interested in score distributions while waiting for your scores, search twitter for " AP trevor " - he’s with college board and tweets out score distributions. It’s interesting. EG: 6 students out of 200,000+ earned perfect scores on US history exam. And one student out of 60,000+ earned all possible points on Calc BC.

Scores start coming out on July 5th, so I could imagine that they are rapping it all up.

Has anyone cancelled an ap score? If so, how did the college board respond? Did they send you an email telling you that your test is cancelled or other circumstances?

Login to your College Board account and click “AP scores” on thr homepage. Then at the top click “download report”. The report should have your 8-digit 2018 AP Number. If this is the case then your scores are linked to your account and you should have no issues.

If your name or birthday differ between your account and answer sheet, there may be a delay in your score as the College Board may need to contact your school to confirm the updated information.

@bgbg4us - thanks for the tip about AP Trevor - very interesting information about exam results!

If found cheating on an ap exam, how long would the college board take to investigate the incident? When will they be usually notified if this incident happen?

As long as it takes.

Usually it would noted on the Incident report that is sent to the CB with the exams.

I agree with kimclan1. If you log into your college board account you will see your score appear there when it is posted. The AP # should match your answer sheet. You will need to update the name change with the school/ or college board but you may want to see if you get your score in July first. Now cheating is another story.
