As interesting as a college promiscuity debate is, please take it somewhere else. You're just getting into nitpicky attacks now, and I don't want that crap in my thread. Thank you!

EVERY STRAIGHT man thinks like black dream. I too will pursue my education with the hopes of a few stories to tell my buddies.... it's just a fact of college.

I'm only in high school and I know most (all?) guys are like that. Whether you think it's disgusting or you endorse this behavior, it's just the way things are

Thank you for the implicit insult; perhaps we could modify that statement so it claims "Every immature man..."

Cheers for reading skills!

I apologize.

why do you find the need to quote everyone?! i should copyright my posts and sue you!

Compare to most guys, I consider myself very uptight. I have only had one relationship before (lasted three years and terminated because I came to the States), I had not do anything physical to her, I totally respect a girl, HOWEVER.

there are more to life than study. I would very much like to have ONE girlfriend in college. (Who wouldn't want a relationship? Unless you are a monk)

about our reading skills. Personally I do not care if you insult my English skills, however, if you begin to try to argue with everyone, not on the merit of their opinions, but on their ability to communicate, you start looking like someone who think him/herself is better than everyone else.

Also, if you feel like debate, please just respond to me, no need to get everyone else in this mess.

I state again, I would like to befriend WITH everyone in this forum, and I treat every poster as a friend. I will not personally insult you, and I will stop responding to this thread if it gets out of control.

I have not - or have tried not to - insult(ed) a single individual in this forum and I do not care if you view me as arrogant for some minor corrections. Moreover, I just have different views about what college is for and you have your beliefs as well; I do not expect you to change your priorities, so do what you want. I was merely expressing my opinion.

Just a little suggestion, the next time you are "merely expressing opinions" (I don't quote), please refrain yourself from words like "disgusting". I have my beliefs and you have yours. I will say "I do not agree to xxxx", for that's expression of dissent, but not "disgusted by something", by using the word disgust you are trying to make me feel bad about what we do (yes, we, we as majority of human)

also, try to limit your corrections to personal messages. some (if not most) of your corrections are extremely trival and limited to mechanical aspects of the English language. Keep in mind that even Shakespeare can spell his name wrong (sixe times with six different spelling), and being non-English major, most of us do make mistakes, especially in a laid-back atmosphere lika forum

Yes, that was my error, sorry.

They are hardly trivial when they deal with the misuse of words; I do not expect impeccable grammar, just the right use of words because their dialectical usage leads to destruction of the English language, which is hardly a "trivality."

language evolve, not destroyed.

One may say that our modern English language is A LOT less graceful than old English. While this assertion maybe true, the modern English language is capable of conveying billions times of infomation what old English could possibly convey.

Take the phrase
"roxor my haxor", it conveys a unique meaning that cannot possibly be expressed in old English.

Additional note on topic:

You can always find your niche. Even guys like nspeds can join organizations that promote English only education and foreign language free work places.
