Finding Out Online vs. Regular Mail

what are most of you going to do: find out your decision online through the provided link, or wait for the letter in the mail?

To me, online decisions seems anti-climactic. I mean, have you waited years and years to apply and find out on the internet? Most kids dreams deal with going to the mailbox and seeing a large envelope or taking it into the kitchen and opening the letter in front of their family. The internet seems otherworldly and impersonal to me.

On the other hand, how long can you hold out when you see that email staring you in the face informing you that your decision is a couple clicks and less than a minute away. Regular mail may take longer but it has a greater panache to it. I have yet to decide how I will see my decision.

What about you all?

email. no question =P

email at school in front of friends... so we can all scream together or so they can catch me when i fall.

email fo sho

most definately email.

Online. Less dramatic, sure, but it's an easier letdown. And I hear the envelope is thin for Stanford either way.

Yea, I agree with somebodynew. For some reason checking my decision online will give me less stress.

Hmm...I think I'd rather go to my mailbox.

wow you would wait that extra time?

I would like the traditional I GOT THE LETTER LETS HOLD OUR BREATHS UNTIL I OPEN IT thing but I couldn't wait another second longer than I had to.

dude.......whichever one is first

i dont think either one will be "easier" to take

definitely email

I prefer mail, but I'm ALREADY obsessive compulsive about checking my email, so I'll probably end up seeing it... and once I see it, it's past the point of no return. Then again, I live 30 minutes away from Stanford. I should get the mail by Friday...

So are they sending the email WITH the decision, or just the link where we still have to type in out PIN number and all that stuff?

I think they're just sending the link, then we have to follow it to type in our pin and stuff. I really hope we find out tomorrow, i honestly can't wait anymore. aal;djfal'sdfjal;sdfj stanford! hurry up!

Shoot! It says that my account has been temporarily disabled because I have failed to login properly too many times (my pop-up was up), so now I have to contact technical assistance. Grr!!!

lol darn. I prefer real paper envleope and letter and all but I just can't wait!! so I'll follow the link no matter what

The email only contains the link to the website with the decisions...my bet is that what happened to the UPenn applicants (at my school) will happen - the site'll get clogged and people will have to wait a bit. I will swear like I never have before if that happens to me.

SO I have decided to find out before I go to India on Friday. I'll pray that it comes in the mail, cause email is waaaay to anticlimatic.

E-Mail for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why wait the extra time and its way more private!
