Finding Scholarships to Study in the US

Most major scholarships ($1000+) in Canada (and I would imagine in other countries as well) require that the student pursue college in Canada. The major Canadian scholarships - TD Canada Trust, Millennium, RBC Royal Bank- all have this condition. In fact, the only scholarship I found that does not have this condition is the Wendy's Classic Achiever's scholarship.

Has anyone else had problems finding scholarships that they can use to attend American schools?

If you're Canadian, have you found any scholarships to apply to without the condition? Where should one look?

In additions to scholarships from Canada, you can get need- or merit-based aid from some US colleges.

Most of the schools I'm looking at offer only need-based scholarships. I'm looking for places that provide outside scholarships.

Oh my god I know exactly how you feel menuetto!! It's really frustrating that all the Canadian scholarships try to keep you in the country. I've been trying to find private scholarships from the US that allow international applicants but haven't had much luck on that.

go check this website called Fastweb.com they will have information which you need to make like ur profile and according to your profile will help select scholarship that you are interested/eligible for

Oh, wow, KING IS HERE, thank you so much for the link! And Menuetto for creating this topic :)

This site seems like the best (the most useful by far) scholarship site that I've visited so far!

Ah yes thank you KING IS HERE!
