I am applying to the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts and I was an alternate last year, but it's extremely hard to get into and there's a good chance I won't.
Can anyone suggest good academic summer programs (that would look good for college) on the east coast, or a website where I could find some? I realize it might be too late for this summer's stuff but yeah.
My interests are writing, but I could also see myself doing something science related (I love biology/environmental science.)
If it matters..I'm a junior, my grades are pretty good, decent ECs. (4.14 W GPA, plenty of APs, think I got around 2100 on SAT)

I'd also be curious to know what other juniors' summer plans are, if you want to share ; )

Do a search on this forum for summer programs. I know there are several threads in the parents forum and the high school one. Also, do a Google search for summer programs.

One of the challenges is that it is almost April and the application deadline for many summer programs has passed. There are programs on almost every college in the country...and beyond, depending on your family's ability to pay. Fees can range from a few $100s to $6,000+!

Have you thought about colleges that you are interested in attending after high school? You might want to search them for summer program so can experience campus life first-hand.

Some of the application deadlines for these may have passed. This is just from memory, I'm sure they're others, but these are the ones that interested me enough to request brochures or more information.
