Finding the right college "fit"?

Hi everyone,

I'm an intern for a professor at a Top 10 school, and I'm currently doing some research on a project that involves "fit" at a college. If everyone could post some information about the following points, that would be really helpful!

What colleges/universities you applied to, and if you were accepted/rejected from them

what college/university you currently attend

what activities you participate in while on campus

what type/genre of music you listen to (also name specific bands)

what specific activities you like to do in your free time (ex. sports, playing instruments, etc.)

what sorts of movies you like best (name specific ones)

what genre of books you like reading (also name specific titles/authors)

whether or not you are employed (or interning or volunteering).

If there are any miscellaneous tidbits you think would be helpful please mention them, for instance any other things you "like" on facebook. I know that this won't be inclusive of all interests at colleges and won't paint a complete picture of "fit", but it will nonetheless help. Also, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me or email interns.sl@gmail.com.
Thanks so much!

sorry, but I find it inappropriate that a university would use research that it gathered from anonymous posts on the internet. How in the world can you trust the reliability of this data? You don’t know anything – age, gender, etc. – about your subjects, nor do you have any idea if they’re telling the truth about who they are or what they say.

Yeah, if this is the caliber of “research” you are learning to do at a Top 10, I would question your choice of school!

LOL, I doubt that you are doing research for a Top Ten school.

Yeah, duh…agreed.
