Finished

Post here if you sent your app in today, and are overly excited its over.

I sent my school report (+supp) and teacher's recommendations today. (Sent the Common App on Jan 31) I feel relieved.

I sent the app two weeks ago and had my interview yesterday, so all i have to do is wait! Does Yale notify on April 1 or is it vague like "first week of april.."?

sent in all documents to PENN,Pton and Yale today. BUt the Cornell architecture application is still there - deadline 31st.

so there's still some stress. Waiting for UM EA, and USC, IIT, and WUSTL RD as well. It's not over until it's over.

You cannot say you're completely stress free until you see admission decisions.

Yea but hurrying with apps is different than jittery/excited waiting.

you're so right zant. I spent the whole of today organising and compiling supplements, forms and things, and when i got them all posted, i may have been relieved (a little).

i'm also waiting, you know. But this Ivy league thing is another cup of tea.

85 days until April 1!

hey zant, is Yale your first choice or are there other options?

(Countdown has begun)

I applied ED to princeton and was deferred.

It's a long story, but Yale was my first choice from feb-august and is now my first choice again. Like wayyy up there but it's so hard I'm trying not to fall in love with it TOO much.

I'm not so freaked about Yale. I'm just applying for the sake of it. I want to do architecture and I don't know the perfect school for me yet. (I applied to 9!)
I have also want to do elec/comp engineering. Music is one of my greatest passions. I love dabbling into as many fields as possible. Where is the place?

lol I've been focusing on law lately but I'm quite a dabbler as well. I like all subjects and I want to do more art. I think at most schools that offer a liberal arts program you'll find a good education. Granted, some schools (like Yale) have good architecture programs but if you're really serious about studying it you can do grad school.

you think nine is bad? two of my friends applied to 30. THIRTY.

WHOAA
That's insane (and expensive!)

that's around $2000 in app fees alone... wow

I would die...as writing my name and address and ssn hundreds of times would be enough for me to want to poke my eyes out with flaming pencils.

they were rich, most were commonapp, so.. no problem ;)

i wouldn't blame your friends hobbes344. YOu just start applying and you keep trying and trying. They need reassurance.
Besides they could have received up to 15 fee waivers.

Hey I originally applied to only four. Then my friends told me i was good enough for the Ivy league. My friend in Canada also encouraged. So I just did that for 4 unis. Then Northeastern came along.

I really do not blame. They need reassurance and some sense of security.

But it's a lot of stress bcos I know what I went thru applying to only 9. Knowing the different school reqs and other things. And in Nigeria where i'm from, applying to 9 is ridiculous. My bro applied to only 2!

But the fewer your schools, the more focus you have. I think it shows maturity.

Hey, if you think 30 is too many...people from my country apply to more than 50 schools!!!!

^Where are you from?

Yes Snow Day Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
