im not sure if there was already a thread on this, but I was wondering if you are allowed to finish pre-med in 2-3 years (by taking a lot of APs and credits) if you did this, would you be able to apply normally to med schools right after finishing? someone told me you have to spend a minimum of 4 years in college before you can apply to med school and i was wondering if this was true...

There usually isn't a "pre-med" major in most universities. Pre-med is a group of courses needed for med school, and are usually finished by junior year or around there. AP courses I don't think are accepted by med schools they like to see you take the required courses at a four year school. Medical schools also usually require you to have a bachelor’s degree.

You should have an application with three years' worth of coursework on it before applying - in other words, if you plan on graduating one year early, then you should defer your medical school applications by a year so that schools can see your entire academic track record.
