Hello all,
I earned my Associate’s in 2009, snagged valedictorian of my class (it was a junior college) while I was at it. Then, since my parents told me they were out of money, I enlisted in the Navy. It’s been 7 long years and 2 deployments since then and I’m ready to put on the academic hat again. I’ve taken 4 classes total since then up until 2014, all distance learning, one F, two B’s and a C. The F was on my first deployment and I was nowhere near focused enough to do both. The B’s and C were because I had a huge increase of responsibility as the only inspector on a shift.
I’ve applied to many schools that I was interested in when I graduated, but I don’t think they’ll look at me now with my record at a standstill since 2014. I have gotten into Old Dominion University, but I think I can do more for myself at other schools. Really interested in Georgetown or GWU. Would a winter transfer be possible, or should I take what I’ve been given?
