I am considering a career in Finance so i am looking at Penn Wharton, Cornell AEM, Harvard (rejected as Freshman), Yale (rejected as Freshman), Stanford (rejected as Freshman), Dartmouth, MIT (unlikely)

oops spelled finally wrong. haha

Harvard doesn't take transfers

I don't think that as a transfer your hs credentials really account for much. But I may be wrong, I'm only a hs senior.

HS credentials will hardly matter for a junior transfer. Father being an ambassador is not a hook.

Your GPA is great coming from UChicago and that's a big thing going in your favor. You need to articulate a good reason for wanting to go to Yale. What does Yale have the UChicago lacks? They aren't looking for touchy-feely stuff, they're looking for academic programs not offered at your current school, wanting to work with a specific professor, etc. The residential college system, for instance, is not a good reason to want to transfer.

All I have to say is that the essay is more important than ever. Yale doesn't offer interviews for transfers so it's the essay that will help you from what I hear.
