During my English Lang test this morning some kid pulled the fire alarm, so we had to go outside. They told us to line up and to not talk (which no one listened to).
Obviously it will have to be reported, but is there any chance that our scores will be invalidated? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

It happened at my school, except it wasn’t a random kid - the school just decided it would be a good time for a fire drill. The proctors just told us to keep working, so we did, and I guess nobody reported it since we all got our scores.

Yeah, your scores probably will be invalidated and you’ll have to retake them. If you guys just stayed inside you would have been fine (that happened at my school too, the system is horrible), but you guys had a blatant opportunity to talk so I doubt they’ll let you keep those scores.

Oh man. Do you have any idea when I’ll find out if they were invalidated or not?

Also: I’m not even sure that the proctors notified the C.B. or not, because they seemed to think that bringing in an assistant principal and counting the tests to ensure that none were taken outside was sufficient to maintain test security, lol

Has anyone else had experience in something like this?

It happened to me last year during the Calc AB test. No one’s score was invalidated, even though the proctor filed a report.

It happened to me during AP Euro last year. Someone pulled the alarm 3 times. The school had to give us extra time, but no one’s scores were cancelled, we all got our scores, so don’t worry. :)

Duuuude holy ****, something in the school triggered the fire alarm during the last part of the English Lang exam, that’s crazy. I was already done though and asleep. Alarm gave me a major shock
