I never really used to be into pop, but I think 2009 had a pretty good year. Still, I have to have some other stuff on there too :D

As for Owl City…I have 2 albums and I do like playing them in the background. Nothing wrong with a bunch of beats and pretty sounds, whether they’re strictly original or not (which they obviously aren’t…).

Shake Me Like A Monkey - Dave Matthews Band
Assasins - John mayer
Tear Down The Walls - Davy Knowles
Funny The Way It Is - Dave Matthews Band

My favorite artists didn’t have too much this past year as far as releases go so the list is a little on the short side. But hopefully a new chilis record will be on the list in 2010!

Halo - Beyonce
Bloc Party’s “Intimacy” (Even though it was technically released in '08…)
1901 - Phoenix
Boom - Anjulie
Birthday - Awesome New Republic

I’ll try to pick ones that are somewhat popular…

Gucci Mane - Wasted
Deadmau5 - Ghosts N Stuff
Young Jeezy - Trap or Die 2 (if you aren’t in the ATL then you prob never heard it)
Passion Pit - Sleepyhead
Young Money - Bedrock

For the record, Owl City is legit and I would’ve put that Jay Sean song up there too if ya’ll didn’t already list it.

Kudos to Open Sesame. I adore Animal Collective, by far one of the rawest and best bands out there. Andrew Bird’s great when one wants to mellow. And Sufjan Stevens is ****ing beautiful. Not that big a fan of M. Ward or poke-her-face though.

Passion Pit’s got a few good songs. (:

I’m waiting for The Acorn to release their new album.
