What browser do you all use? Firefox seems to be gaining momentum and the new Netscape 8.0 beta seems popular as well.

Internet Explorer of course is the reigning yet declining champion. It's quite useful for downloading Windows updates, I suppose.
And then there's Opera and the rest of them.

For myself, Firefox has not let me down yet. No popups along with ad-blocking and other extensions make for a great browsing experience. As for Netscape 8.0: I downloaded it and for me, the interface is just too hideous. Some may like it though (it's got tabbed browsing and RSS built in).

Firefox hands down. Unfortunately, something went wrong so that I can no longer open up secure websites with Firefox. So now I use a browser called Opera, which also has tabbed browsing, but isn't as good as Firefox.

when I use Firefox it somehow disables any sort of text formatting thing, so theres no italics, bold, and i cant change the font, size, or color...does anyone know how to change that?

I use IE because I'm an idiot. Plus I don't like FireFox's bookmark thing - I like the column on the side like in IE rather than the pulldown menus in FireFox. Though FireFox is more reliable and cooler looking and tabbed browsing is really cool. I still use IE though.

You forgot about Opera. :) Which is nice. Many Opera vs. Firefox arguments out there.

I loved Firefox until it started giving me trouble when I upgraded to 1.01. But it's still much nicer then IE, especially since I configed it to go fasteeeeeeeeeer.

Yeah, I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I've tried about everything I could think of to fix the problem, but I still can't open up secure websites with Firefox. I get an error message that says: "SSL is disabled"

I checked to make sure that the boxes for all of the security protocols were checked. But I still got the same error message. Oh well. Firefox is still great if you don't have any complications with it.

Firefox over here!! I haven't tried Opera yet, and might just because it sounds interesting. IE is just..well...its Microsoft...so we get what we pay for.

I dislike IE so I used Netscape for a while but when I formatted my computer and then re-installed Netscape it wouldn't work, even after a re-download so I installed Firefox and have been using it and loving it ever since.

I've been using it since it was known as Phoenix... then Firebird... and now finally Firefox. It's great. Plus, the rendering is 100% standards compliant so I use it as a reference browser to test other sites.

Oh you can hit Ctrl+B anytime and get your 'column on the side' in firefox too! :p
