First AP tests ~ bad results

Hello today I checked my AP scores and was disappointed to say the least. I am entering junior year and these are the first AP exams I’ve taken - I genuinely thought I did well but expectations were not lined up with reality at all.
AP Euro - 3 (B+ in class)
Env Sci - 2 (self studied, you can imagine the impression I gave my counselor now)
I come here and see people complaining about 4’s and 3’s being “horrible”, so of course that isn’t helping. Oh well, how do I recover from these “wounds” and will it break my chances of getting into a good college?

I feel like the tests must have been really difficult. I have no facts to back it up, but it seems to me that more people did worse than they though they did to the point that they are questioning the accuracy. Maybe the college board raised the “4/5” cutoffs. Life is stressful, AP in HS is stressful, reading your post makes me sad that you worry your chances of getting into a good college are harmed. Be a good person, do your best, get involved in something that makes you feel GREAT about yourself and shake off these tests. You aren’t defined by your success on the AP exams. Breathe…or better yet, do a big “Ya Booi”

AP test scores dont even matter for college applications, so it doesn’t really hurt you in any way.

Colleges don’t ask for AP scores in admission purposes because there are many students that don’t take AP tests for a variety of reasons.

And you took them as a sophomore in HS.

If you want to, take them again as a junior/senior.

Remember that they are suppose to be equivalent to college tests. You took tests that were 3 years above your current level.
