<p>I'm not used to these things, haven't read many and I don't feel I am in the right position to comment on others either. </p>

<p>I've wanted to go to Stanford for awhile, might as well try right? </p>

<p>Reside in: Bronx, New York
My GPA: 4.0 UW -- Unsure of Weighted
I couldn't take AP classes, since many public schools in the Bronx don't offer them, and we only started getting honors variations of certain classes my Junior year. I've been taking the most challenging classes I could. </p>

<p>QuestBridge Finalist, forwarding my app through Regular Decision.
1st Generation student and 1st to go to College
Valedictorian </p>

<p>ECs:
9th Grade - Chess Club participant (went to tournaments, never won)
9th Grade - Worked for Subway (the coupon handler, made it sound better in my app)
9th Grade - Biking Group (Training, "Century Ride", 250+ mile ride on the underground railroad in Ohio while studying AA history)
10th Grade - Internship (Lower East Side Business Improvement District for 6 months)
11th Grade - Food kitchen (Volunteered there for a few weeks)
11th Grade - Teachers Assistant in Biology (6 months)
12th Grade - Worked in a Farm and General goods store (Did this during my summer in Kosovo, a 3rd world country where my parents come from, to help pay for family bills)</p>

<p>Sucks, my school was amazing with ECs until the year we got there, our principal left and we kept losing opportunities through budget cuts...</p>

<p>SATs: This is where I fall even LOWER I guess
1870 (610 writing, 650 math, 610 reading)
SAT Math 1- 670 Math 2- 620</p>

<p>You might want to post in the “What are my chances” forum which is located in the “Discussion Home” tab on the left hand side of the main page. Hard to predict your chances being better or slimmer than the “average” applicant. It is a reach for all, however, your test scores may make you a little less competitive. Congrats on your academic success so far and good luck!</p>
