In the event that none of your professors contact you about the first day of class, what should you expect? Generally, I mean.

Also, I have a bunch of novels for my literature classes and I'm not sure if I should take a couple, all (erm), or just leave everything in my room... Sorry, I know that sounds really stupid but just wondering lol

Thank you!

P.S. Do you recommend taking your laptop? Or maybe a notebook or something...lol

Depends. I’ve had professors that take 2 minutes to read the syllabus, basically telling you that you can read it on your own time, and then proceed to full on lecture. I’ve also had others that only go over the syllabus and then try and drag out the class for at least half of the alotted time to make it seem like the day wasn’t a total joke.

Be prepared to take notes your first day, but you won’t need textbooks or novels your first day. You’ll usually be told in advance when it’s useful to bring certain books, otherwise most people never bring books to class.

Thanks for the help, guys! I’m planning to take my laptop and some paper and pens just in case Glad to know I can leave my library in the room haha
