Go with a brown leather belt. I can’t imagine a gray belt working…

well, you gotta match, of course. i have a grey belt for my grey adidas kicks

I don’t know…I mean it would depend what the belt was made out of. I can’t think of any kind of gray belt that I would wear

I’m on high school, but I’m wearing a short pink linen dress and white sperrys :)

@hobbit-

It means exactly what it says.

I didn’t realize that people put this much thought into things such as this.

@NulliSecundus, i have a grey webbed cotton belt from j.crew that looks chill as frick with those kicks, jeans and a nice hoodie. so cotton would work

I guess so, though I didn’t have to think much ;)

All this over a little post? Nbd, I love the attention!

Yeah, It’ll be a brown leather belt (if I can find it).

@asmith- J.Crew is my new favorite store. A J. Crew t-shirt is going under the button up.

^^^^well the first day sets the tone for the rest of the year. plus picking out the perfect outfit is fun.
^j.crew is my favorite store too :D

move-in day i’m wearing a blue plaid button-up, navy shorts and sperrys. functional but i can wear it to the chapel, though i might switch into the same shirt with a khaki skirt and sandals.
first day i’m either wearing a floral dress with a leather waist belt [and a cardigan because it’s strapless and that’s not dress code garr], or my favorite purple tank top with plaid shorts [and a cardigan again gaah].

@Ricross

Bravo!

@romani

Appearances are what people see first and judge you on first . If you aren’t a stunning beauty, you’ll want to put some thought in to what you wear.

Uniform for Tomorrow:
White, Short-Sleeved, Collared, Linen Shirt
Tie
Navy Blue Pants
Dark Brown Belt
Dark Brown Dress Shoes
Navy Blue Socks

@asmith OK that sounds alright. Cotton belts look good in pretty much any color or pattern.

J. Crew is good stuff. THey always have something on sale too

@hobbithill
thanks!

I’m sensing a strong like of J. Crew in this thread!

They usually do have good stuff on sale, but yesterday I didn’t really find anything that piqued my interest. Maybe everyone bought out the good stuff earlier in the tax free weekend… hm.

Yeah, they’re kind of hit and miss by season. I do like the stuff they have in now though. Just got a nice tie and some good shorts a couple days ago

I wear the same general thing every day, colors vary.

Yeah, they had some nice plaid button ups and sweaters, but I didn’t want to spend all of my money in one place. I’ve got a birthday coming up just in time for holiday season though… ;)

@hobbit
Or you could just not hang around people who judge you on appearances ;). Just saying.

I love when “non-judgmental” people judge people who care about their looks. Just saying.

^ I wasn’t judging.
I was offering an opinion.
Did I say anything, ANYTHING bad about people who care about their looks?
