first day

okay, i have an unusual situation...

I lived in a tough city when I was younger and went to one of their public schools from k-3.

Then, when I was 10, we moved a few towns over to a nicer area and have been at a small private school.

I'm moving back and going to the local highschool at my old city. I haven't seen any of these kids in years and am going to find this very weird. Plus, there were 5 other elementary schools in the town filled with kids I don't know. So basically I don't have any close friends...

So...on the first day or school, what should I do? Wear? bring? say? suggestions? ideas? thoughts? anyone feel and can relate to my awkwardness feelings??? what can I do to make a normal old/new reputation?

lol thanks for the help...even though I sound like a goon

Yeah, it's most likely going to be a little awkward but just be yourself. If you are entering as a 9th grader it won't be that bad because you won't stand out as the "new" kid. Many people are coming from different schools and everyone is just meeting each other so I wouldnt worry too much.

lol no problem. This year (freshmen year), I was accepted into a very good magnet school where only 13 kids came with me. I had to make a lot of new friends since i was only close friends with 1 of them. What I suggest is be yourself and I'm sure the old friends you had in elementary school will remember you. If people don't like you for who you are, then screw them. I know from experiance that as long as your not anti-social, you'll make friends as soon as the first day.
