Does being a first generation college student increase my chances? Also, is being Indian considered an under-represented minority?
Indian, as in from the Asian country of India, is usually not considered a URM. Hispanics, African-Americans, and Native Americans are usually considered URM. First-generation can give you a boost.
First generation is a definite plus!
