Is being a first gen college student beneficial when applying to college or will it give you a disadvantage? do colleges want to accept these students or do they feel that they are unprepared?..are there any cases where colleges really look down on f.g.c.s?

boopboop...this is an absolute plus for you. Keep up your grades and get good scores on your tests and show yourself to be well rounded with extra-curriculars/volunteer activities/job and you will see that colleges are very willing to consider this an advantage. Good luck!

First Gen is an advantage, like Legacy and URM status. It can greatly benefit you if you show a lot of talent and potential. Colleges like to see students who can rise from a family where no one has attended a university beforehand. =3

bumpbumpbump

it depends if your low income too. If you are first generation, but have wealthy parents it will be of no use.
