<p>Can anyone help please? Is the only way to qualify as a 'first generation' student by having your parents/older generations etc receive NO degree at all?? Mine only got vocational/technical diplomas so am not sure if this counts.</p>

<p>naahhh, i dont think that counts. I think that you’re 1st generation if your parents/grandparents etc have not gotten a bachelors or more. This doesnt include siblings, or aunts & uncles…</p>

<p>You would mark “some college” if they have attended college but not received a degree. Vocational school isn’t college. Grandparents and aunts/uncles don’t count. They are just looking at parents.</p>
