<p>There are quite a few scholarship programs for first generation college students. I wanted to know if I am eligible since my father obtained a two year degree. Do only four year degrees count for this purpose? Thanks in advance!</p>
<p>The definition of first gen varies by the school/program/scholarship. Some only consider you first gen if neither of your parents went further than HS, others if a 4 yr degree was not earned, etc. You’ll need to contact each program to find out how they define first gen.</p>
