First generation, URM male, First plan messed up needs your helP!

MR. Tubbz, I think quite a few of us care, and appreciate the updates. Things are looking very good. Keep us updated, please. Congratulations on some nice choices, so far.

Congratulations!

Congratulations, Mr. Tubbz! I'm glad you're keeping us updated. Please continue to do so. It's really nice to hear.

Parents LIVE for updates! We remember you and wonder. Keep them coming in...

Isn't it good to have choices? If others reading this don't yet, you will. Meanwhile, Mr. Tubbz, your hard work is starting to pay off. Yesss

UCLA- Accepted
Duke- Rejected
Wash U- Waitlisted

Feeling the joys, the pain, and the perplexing nature of top 25 college admissions!!!

UCLA is an excellent university that will offer great opportunities. Purely personal guess: WUSTL might offer a slight advantage for pre-med (?), otherwise I don't seen one.

Good luck on your remaining decisions!

Congratulations on UCLA, Mr. Tubbz! Do you have any more decisions coming out, or any favorite school so far?

out of the schools of which I am accepted to my top 3 are:
USC, Morehouse and UVa....still waiting to hear from Stanford+ ivy's.....staying guarded but optimistic....

Guarded but optimistic is a good attitude to have. I think I recall Wharton being a top choice of yours. Hope you have more good news to update us with in the next few days. I saw on the Stanford thread that they may be coming out with decisions on Friday. One nice thing about the California schools is your travel costs will be lower, although good scholarships and FA may make an Eastern school just as affordable.

Mr. T,

When did you hear from UVA ? My D got a likely letter, but she has not heard anything else from UVA.

bln_1975 check your pm

Mr. Tubbz: First, congrats to all your acceptances! BTW, have you received any responses (reject/accept) from QUESTBRIDGE regular decisions?

Thanks.

Hear from the QBridge Regular decision people today ( Stanford) and Monday ( Yale, Princeton, and Columbia)

got into UC Berkeley yesterday..so CA schools seem to love me lol!

Congratulations, Mr. Tubbz! Whatever happens with the remaining apps, you have some excellent choices.

Got Into Stanford...................................in Disbelief........god Is Good!!!!!

That's great! Kind of best of both worlds - a tip top university and without having to be so drastically far away from home. My cousin loved it there!

I'm so happy for you - you've got great choices!!

WOW! Oh, that is so amazing! When I saw your thread bumped up on "New Posts" I was hoping this was it. I think you would absolutely love it. Another big plus for Stanford is that it will be easier to get home for Thanksgiving, spring break, etc. Usually schools only include travel for two trips.

God is very good!

I'm so happy for you Mr. Tubbz!! :) Please keep us informed about QB Financial aid. Would love to know if they pulled thru for you.
