<p>Neither of my parents got a post-secondary education, but they do get a 200.000+ income.
I know USC likes first generation college students. But does this still count with a high income?</p>
<p>I don’t think those factors will be make or break stats, but rather your academic profile (GPA sat, ECs ec) so I wouldn’t worry about it too much (or at all)</p>
<p>They claim that they disregard your income and that they do need-blind admission. If this wasn’t true, the fact that they have a high income would benefit you because you don’t need aid from the university and will be able to pay full tuition. But like the above poster said, I really don’t think that is a factor at all.</p>

Colleges see you as “eating their cake and keeping it too”
All colleges want students who overcame adversity (minorities/first generation/low income/extenuating circumstances) but dont want to pay for them.
With you, they get that but dont have to pay for it.</p>
