First good snow

UR has a good amount of snow on the ground now. When you use the webcam on the UR website, it is difficult to see how deep the snow is.

Talked to my ds2 last night. Although most of the students are working hard on their final assignments for the semester ( one more week of classes!) they are still giving themselves some time to enjoy fun in the snow.

Ds2 went traying with his friends. I am sure dining halls, esp. the one in Sue B. has been busy keeping up with the demands for trays. He said he was thankful that the dryers are free.

He also mentioned that students have been writing messages on the field in the football stadium. Happy Hannukah! was there. Someone put in a menorah and 'lit' the candles as the festival progressed. Unfortunately, some field practices ruined some of the messages.

For those worrying about the weather in Rochester, just remember to bring snow pants for the traying! Blue jeans takes longer to dry.

Thanks for the information!

Traying is so sweet! its so fun, whoever visits rochester during the winter has to try it.
